Sina Ventures is led by two founders with complementary backgrounds in quantum engineering, semiconductor technologies, medical practice, digital health, and commercial execution across the GCC and the UK.
Dr Faris Abualnaja
Co-founder · Assistant Professor, KFUPMFaris is a quantum engineer and Deep-tech operator. He holds a PhD in Quantum Engineering from Imperial College London and is an Assistant Professor at KFUPM, focusing on nanoscale devices, quantum technologies, and applied AI.
Before joining KFUPM, Faris worked at the University of Cambridge on low-dimensional materials and quantum nanoelectronics. At Sina Ventures, he helps founders translate complex Deep-tech into clear technical and commercial narratives for Saudi stakeholders.
Dr Siraj Abualnaja
Co-founder · Medical DoctorSiraj is a physician and entrepreneur with experience in Saudi Arabia and the UK. He holds an MBBS from St Bartholomew’s Medical School and a Neuroscience degree from Queen Mary University, with a focus on Health-tech and clinical workflows.
He previously co-founded Sadaqua, an advertising company operating in Saudi Arabia and the UAE that went on to be acquired. At Sina Ventures, Siraj advises on medical devices, equipment, and healthcare services, aligning solutions with local clinical practice and hospital procurement.
